A small narrow south facing garden. The house will be remodelled internally and there will be doors from the kitchen and from the dining room onto the garden.

The garden is for a keen gardener who requested a wild and natural garden with an abundance of plants, flowers and especially roses for her to enjoy and to potter around in.

The idea is to make the garden appear wider and to break up the space with swathes of planting across the garden with seating areas at either end and to enjoy the meandering walk from one end to the other in a haze of fragrance and colour. The paths are soft textural clay pavers, natural stone slabs, and pretty thyme or phlox groundcover to soften the gaps. You walk between and amongst plants and under a metal rose arch laden with highly scented roses and clematis. The garden will be full of insects and buzzing with life, an interactive tactile garden where you are up close to the plants and appreciating their beauty!
